Premiering September 9th on Hulu

Premise:

In Only Murders in the Building, three neighbors who bond over a love of true crime decide to start their own investigative podcast when someone in their building is killed. Starring Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, this cinematic, twisty, and humorous mystery is a joy to watch.


2. Mystery Island: House Rules

Hallmark Plus starting Monday, September 15

Premise:

The Hallmark Mystery Island series follows psychiatrist Dr. Emilia Priestly (played by Elizabeth Henstridge) as she attends a murder mystery weekend game and becomes embroiled in a real murder investigation. As the series continues, she works to maintain the mystery games while continuing to solve real crimes with a handsome detective (played by Charlie Weber.)

In the Mystery Island: House Rules movie, Mystery Island success raises plans of expansion, and the Island team meets their Mystery Mountain counterparts for a friendly murder game. However, the fun ends with a murder in plain sight.


3. High Potential - Season 2

Premiering Tuesday, September 16 on ABC

Premise:

The U.S. TV series High Potential is an adaptation of the French series HPI (Haut Potentiel Intellectuel) and follows Morgan (played by Kaitlin Olson), a brilliant but messy single mother with an exceptional IQ, who becomes a police consultant despite having no formal detective training. Her unorthodox methods and sharp intellect help her crack complex cases that baffle experienced detectives.


4. Murder in a Small Town - Season 2

Premiering Tuesday, September 23 on Fox

Premise:

Karl Alberg (played by Rossif Sutherland) moves to a quiet coastal town to soothe a psyche that has been battered by big-city police work. He finds himself needing to call upon all his skills to solve the murders that continue to wash up on his shore with the help of the local librarian Cassandra (played by Kristin Kreuk.)


5. Murder Before Evensong - Season 1

Based on the novel by Richard Coles, rector Daniel Clement (played by Matthew Lewis) finds himself entangled in a murder investigation after a cousin of the church's patron is discovered with a fatal stab wound.

Based on the Inspector Karen Pirie series of novels by Val McDermid, this series follows DS Karen Pirie (played by Lauren Lyle) who is tasked with solving a historic murder case in St Andrews after it becomes the subject of a true crime podcast.


7. Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Buried at C

Premiering October 12 on Hallmark Channel

Premise:

In the Hallmark Haunted Harmonies series, Gethsemane Brown (played by Tamera Mowry-Housley), moves to Ireland to teach music at a prep school discovers she can see the ghost of the famed composter Aemon (played by Risteard Cooper.) With his help, she sets out to solve the murder he was falsely accused of and his own death.

In the movie, Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Buried at C, Gethsemane tries to solve the murder of a sea captain.


8. Elsbeth - Season 3

Premiering Thursday, October 16 on CBS

Premise:

Elsbeth follows clever but unconventional attorney Elsbeth Tascioni (played by Carrie Preston) whose unique observations allow her to outsmart New York City’s best criminals.

Audiences follow a killer as they commit what they believe to be the perfect crime. It’s up to eccentric Elsbeth to unravel inconsistencies and prove their guilt.
